The Challenge
The challenge was to create a unique and symbolic brand identity that could stand out in the highly competitive natural cosmetics market. The vision was to establish a short, memorable brand name supported by a strong design system that would balance Indian cultural roots with modern, international aesthetics. My team and I were tasked with developing the brand name, visual identity, guidelines, design system, packaging, and visual assets that would help Arva Herbal Cosmetics launch with clarity and distinction.
Our Solution
We began with an in-depth naming exercise, exploring short, symbolic, and meaningful words that would reflect purity, nature, and authenticity. Arva was finalized — a name that feels organic, rooted, and easy to recall globally. The brand identity was then designed around simplicity, purity, and natural elegance, ensuring it aligned with the brand’s eco-conscious philosophy while appealing to modern consumers.
Execution
- Developed a minimal yet symbolic logo inspired by nature and herbal motifs
- Created a two-tone earthy color palette reflecting purity, freshness, and sustainability
- Designed packaging for the first product line (Herbal Soaps) using clean layouts and eco-friendly cues
- Built a visual identity system and brand guidelines for consistency across applications
- Extended the brand language into marketing collaterals, digital assets, and social media templates
Outcome
The clean, modern yet Indianized identity resonated strongly with health-conscious and eco-aware consumers, positioning Arva as a brand that blends traditional herbal wisdom with contemporary lifestyles.
