The Challenge

Founder Arpita Patel shared her inspiring journey as a woman, mother, and entrepreneur from a family with a strong business legacy. She envisioned a brand identity that would feel deeply rooted in Indian culture yet modern in its presentation. Ancient Roots was born out of her desire to create healthier, effective alternatives to the fast, unhealthy foods widely consumed in today’s hectic lifestyle.

From humble beginnings in a small kitchen, the brand quickly grew into a widely-adored label using advanced manufacturing and packaging processes. The challenge was to translate this vision into a visual identity system that communicates authenticity, purity, and modern relevance while staying grounded in Indian tradition.

Our Solution

We went back to basics — drawing inspiration from soil, seeds, nature, mother earth, and India’s ancient food culture. Starting with ideation and sketches, we refined and digitized three distinct concepts, one of which was finalized in collaboration with Arpita and her team. The chosen identity reflected simplicity and purity, brought to life with a two-color brand system that balances traditional roots with modern aesthetics.

Execution

  • Designed a minimal, symbolic logo system inspired by nature and Indian heritage
  • Developed a two-tone color palette evoking purity, freshness, and balance
  • Built a typography system for packaging and communication that balances modernity with warmth
  • Extended the design into packaging, social media templates, and digital marketing collaterals
  • Delivered a brand guideline system to ensure cohesive usage across all brand touchpoints
